This oak Chardonnay was made from the excellent fruit that was harvested and donated to the YVC students from Austin Sharp Vineyard, in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA.  Aromas of cinnamon bark, caramelized sugar, yellow peach, piña colada, and green apple skin help this wine achieve great heights, like our upcoming graduates.  The tropical fruit and oak combine elegantly with flavors of toasted coconut, almond and vanilla; all leading up to a sweet cream and buttery finish.

This stainless-steel fermented Chardonnay has the aromas of tree and citrus fruit.  Fresh flavors of green apple, melon and guava meet your palate and deliver a crisp and dry finish.  Cheese and meat charcuterie, or a shrimp or chicken dish would complement the flavors of the terroir.

Crafted with dedication and curiosity by the winemaking students of Yakima Valley Vintners, Scholáris Semillon is a testament to both education and artistry.  Scoured from premium vineyards and carefully vinified at our college winery, this off-dry Semillon offers a beautifully balanced profile.  Aromas of green apple and ripe pear greet the senses, while a touch of tropical fruit adds depth to the palate.  A bright acidity harmonizes with its semi-sweet finish, creating a wine that is both refreshing and complex. The 46^th Parallel links Washington’s premier wine regions with the historic wine areas of Europe, which share a similar latitude. In class, students explore these Washington vineyards, learn what makes them unique, and then bring that knowledge to life in the teaching winery, following the rhythms of the vineyard and the science of fermentation. With notes of pear, melon, and honey, this wine reflects curiosity, experimentation, and hands-on discovery. 46th Parallel Marsanne is more than a wine, it is the flavor of students learning to transform knowledge into experience.  

For those who are night owls or deadline chasers waiting until the last minute to complete an assignment, this Riesling is for you.  With notes of green apple and honey, this crisp wine will help push you through the night. Whether dining at unconventional hours, right on schedule, or for those who enjoy a midnight snack, this wine pairs beautifully with spicy Thai dishes, creamy pastas, or a simple, elegant fish entrée.       

Need to take a pass on all the dry wines and look for something a little sweeter? Hall Pass Riesling is your perfect escape.  Floral aromas layered with ripe fruit and a gentle hint of honeysuckle, create a beautifully balanced expressive wine with approachable sweetness. This wine will pair effortlessly with a fresh bowl of fruit, or even a flaky fruit pastry, it is an ideal companion for special treats.       

This Rosé was learned, not generated. Counoise is a traditional Rhone variety that requires hands-on decision making to enhance aromas of grapefruit, strawberries, watermelon and honey. Living in a world that implements artificial intelligence to help create shortcuts to answers, this Rosé serves as a reminder of something irreplaceable: Human experiences. Artificial Intelligence Rosé was crafted by YVC students who chose to step up and learn the process, not outsource it.

This blend was inspired through a student’s hunger to experiment and learn. Every time a different variety, vessel, or blend was used it unleashed something different in the wine that provided a deeper understanding of the wine’s chemistry. It was exciting to see how a simple, intricate change could transform the final wine.  Enjoy the pleasing aromas of sweet apricots, peaches, and ripe fruits that’s balanced with the light body and medium acidity.

This wine was made with gratitude and appreciation for all those who donate and provide support to make our teaching winery possible.  Your dedication fuels our hands-on training and the future of Washington grape growing and winemaking.  Without you, we would be lost.  In the glass, this wine offers aromas of citrus, tropical fruits and orange blossom.  It would pair well with pork chops with a fruit-based sauce, or spicy Pad Thai.
